Maple Syrup Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
  • 6 tablespoon butter
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • confectioners’ sugar, for topping

Directions

  • Beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla in a medium bowl. Add the Maple Syrup and mix well.
  • Melt the butter and chocolate in the microwave, stirring until smooth. Blend into the egg mixture.
  • In a small bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir into chocolate mixture. Stir in walnuts (optional).
  • Spread batter into a greased 8×8 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool, then dust with confectioners’ sugar.
